Medical research should seek out real causes of diseases and offsetting the prime cause of such symptomatic diseases rather than . . .
the current band-aid trend of medical funding for treatment Only . . . NOT prevention ! . . . hugely "Trillion Dollar" "soak" on World economies.
The medical instrumentation for ("long term") diagnosis and targeting of the end-result symptoms has or is being under development, even towards perfection in recent years
Personally I think the medical pharmaceutical and Hippocratic business with its huge and ever-increasing costs to society . . . is a bit misguided in the over-emphasis in symptom minimisation rather than preventative medicine ? Certainly more emphasis seems to be justified into the R&D of the latter Perhaps contrary to controversial FDA type regulatory bodies !
